well I haven't been on here in a long time......let's see what has happened?
1. I started college.....that's an experience in and of itself....my first hard liquor(and gettting completely plastered from it), my first sexual experience, my first 6% on a test(calculus class), my first failed class(calculus), and so much other crap I can't even begin to list it.
2. Working on being disowned by the rents.....by doing stuff that they don't want me doing and yet they did when they were my age.....aka fucking double standard that I'm not going to stand for, but anyways...
3. Found someone who takes my breath away every time I see him, but yet he still doesn't see it....he doesn't seem to understand how I feel towards him, but maybe he'll wake up and smell the roses sometime soon.....
4. Have not gotten pregnant, contrary to some rumors floating around, and I am also not the brackett bicycle either(another rumor about me and my sex life)
well that's all I can think of right now, but maybe later I'll come up with more....ttyl

college is very different from highschool in so many ways. I know that nearly everyone who reads this journal is already in or starting college, but oh well. I just wanted to write in here, since I don't know how much free time I will have once classes start, and I might be going home for the weekend. for one, my parents would never let me wander around outside my house after 9 oclock, and I was wandering around the quad around 12:30 am two nights ago.....though we were watching a movie in Brackett hall, and we had to go outside to get back to our dorm, so I guess it wouldn't really be considered wandering around.

Well, I found out today that Bryan is back in the hospital.  and that some people are blaming me at least partly for it, but I don't think that I am completely to blame, I think he's stressed about school starting too, just like me.  I don't know if I'm to blame though.  Tell me if you guys find out.....if you even read this anymore.  I wouldn't blame you if you didn't.

I love being back in Colorado, even though I'm still not used to the altitude, or the dryness.  My skin is so dry it isn't funny.  I've been drinking fluids nearly 24/7....minus the time that I'm sleeping.  :)  and it's not doing too much.....I guess I will have to work on adjusting.

Did I tell you all about the clone of Rachel I saw in the airport on my way back from Hawai'i?  She looked so much like Rachel that I almost went over there just to see for myself.  She even had the infamous pink backpack that Rachel has.  I think the only thing that stopped me was the fact that I had been up for almost 36 hours by the time I got there (Los Angeles Airport).  but I end up sitting next to her on the plane, and she was way too uncool to be Rachel, and she seemed stuvck up, like she always flies on planes and I fell asleep, because...well at least I think I did, because someone came around a long time later and asked me if I wanted something to drink, but she didn't ask anyone else, so I guess I fell asleep.  but I was tired

enough typing for now....you'll all have fun reading this!

Your Mood Ring is Dark Green

Your Birthdate: May 20
Your birth on the 20th day of the month adds a degree of emotion, sensitivity, and intuition to your reading.
The 2 energy provided here is very social, allowing you to make friends easily and quickly.
Yet you are apt to have a rather nervous air in the company of a large group.

You have a warmhearted nature and emotional understanding that constantly seeks affection.
You are very prone to become depressed and moody, as emotions can turn inward and cause anxiety and mental turmoil.
It can be hard for you to bounce back to reality when depression sets in.
When things are going well, you can go just as far the other way and become extremely affectionate.

well, I thought some of these were kind of amusing...be back later!

haha :)
well, I have 3 more days left in Hawai'i, so I'm outside as much as I can so I can stay tan for a while when I get back to Colorado. It's actually really nice, though a little hot for my tastes. It's going to be awesome at college though. My roommate is from Hawai'i, and the scary thing is she is almost a clone of me.....my attitude, the way I think, the way I talk, morning person/late night person(not afternoon)
::random tangent::
I used to be an afternoon person, because in Colorado that is the best time to lay out(it's the only time that it is normally warm enough so you don't freeze your butt off), but I guess I have changed into the morning(which is where most of my classes are scheduled) and I like the late night, which is good because I am going to be up late at night a lot to get all of my homework done
::random tangent::
but it's kind of cool that she is so much like me. I'm pretty sure we will become really good friends. anyways Have you ever thought about how much pressure kids are under? I think older people should just leave us alone and help us when we ask for it. maybe I just have really nosy parents, but I don't like it when they force you to show them your homework(that you were plannign on doing during first hour) because they don't believe you. Then they find out that you didn't do your homework, so they tell you that you can't go out, so then you have to call your friends and explain to them that you can't leave the house until you finish your homework, so you can't go wherever they were going but anyways......enough of that
well, I have to tell these wondering peeps what went down last night.......well, truth be told, I can't tell you what happened, I can only tell you the end result, because for me to tell the whole story, I would have to have someone else here too, and I am over 2000 miles away from him right now, so it's not going to happen.....there's two sides to every story right? well, I would tell you mine, but then you'd bug Bryan for his and I really don't think he wants to tell you his side, so I'm not going to tell you my side. so I just made my post a little shorter......and therefore it gets out to you guys sooner......but anyways.....well he asked me and I said yes so your little buddy in CO has a new girlfriend
::random tangent:: I love surfing.....even though I am not awesome at it, but I love paddling out there and knowing that the next wave could be the perfect breaking wave, or your next ride could be the one that you ride the whole way in.......but I guess it's kind of hard to explain the feeling of being on a surfboard to someone who's never been on one. well, I bet all of you colorado peeps is wondering what's going on......well, I'll tell you in my next post mkay? luv yas!

sadness and happiness.....at the same time
Well, I have less than a week left on Maui, and, while here, I have made some of the best memories (and I have lots of pictures to prove them).  That makes me happy, that I actually got to spend an entire summer in Hawai'i, but I really wish all of you guys could have come with.  Because we could have had one rocking summer altogether!! :)  I guess I will have to live with that one.  I have so many pictures of here (I don't take pictures a lot, so three plus rolls of film is a lot for me) and I have to show you all of these pictures.  ok, so by now I think you all know I was staying with some of my dad's friends, Kim and Chris.  They are so awesome, and they are still in that college food phase, so I'm ready for college now! just kidding guys, anyways.....While Kim was on TDY in albuquerque, Chris, a bunch of his friends, and Deanna and I went hiking (not really, because we probably only climbed to about 1000 ft max) to this old cross.  It was awesome as to how much you could see though.....Erin I will scan the pics in and email them to you.....Afterwards we were all starving, so we went to a bar.
::random tangent begins::
Chris finds that amusing and is going to tell my dad when he sees him at Lake Tahoe. I will not be going to Lake Tahoe, so I get to face the music when he gets home. This shall be interesting. My parents will not be home when I get back from Hawai'i, so I can't have any friends over, so my party is going to be at fox run park......same time same day.....bring your friends too!
::random tangent ends::
We washed our hands so many times I thought my hands would be raw when I looked at them next (it was a dirty climb). We had pizza, and everyone but me had alcohol :( but it was fun. my first time snorkeling was fun. We went to this place called the fishbowl, and the walk to get there was totally worth it. The walk was through the lava fields, so there was no shade, so it felt so good to get in the water (later today I think I am going to go to the beach). about a week ago, we went around Haleakala(which is the bigger of the two mountains that make up Maui) and we went to Hana(which is the main town on the other side of the island). While we were in Hana, there is this infamous beach called red sand beach(because the sand there is red....ingenious if you ask me). Well we went there, and it turns out that this beach is a clothing optional beach! It was hilarious, because I thought they were joking, but of course they weren't(and yes they have a picture of me with a naked guy in the background) so of course Chris is going to tell my dad about that too.....I think they want to rile up my dad, but they don't have to deal with the consequences like I do. anyways, I am going to go around West Maui on Thursday this week, so if you want to talk to me, I will have my cell with me, I just might not answer it because I am in the ocean or trekking somewhere to get some awesome pictures! just in case you don't have it, it's 719-235-7233.
wow.....this was a long post..... ::shocked look on face::

sry I haven't written in a while. I have had a busy week. I am going to Moloka'i later today(yes it's 12:30 here) to see where Kim and Chris(the ppl I'm staying with) are planning to have their wedding. It should be fun. Yesterday I went hiking with some friends up to these waterfalls. They were so gorgeous.....it was awesome. I had so much fun.....and got so dirty.....I had mud all over my legs....and I actually had to wash my shoes..... speaking of which I have to get out of the washer.....only so they can be dry by the time work comes on Monday. (and I can't use the dryer, because it's broken right now) I've mostly been busy getting better and working(they let me work even though I have a horrendous cough) I'm not complaining though.....I am making money, so I really could care less. well, I should probably get some sleep before I have to get up to get ready to go to Lahaina to catch the ferry to Moloka'i. I love you all! And today was the worst day of my life(no questions asked)

for all you peeps who don't talk to me regularly:
I have an ear infection and it sucks......and yes I'm in hawaii, and I can't go in the water until my ear clears up(and I finish the meds I got(aka 10 days)) >:0 me is mad but I can't really help it I guess I deserve it though, since I haven't been sick in forever. but why does it have to be on vacation time? I have to keep in shape, or I shall blow up like a balloon! jk peeps I'll just go and swim for a couple of hours when I get back, and faint, be revived by some one and find myself in the hospital because I did something bad and I have no idea what I just said.......I think I shall go into the air conditioning now.....it's really hot here...though I might have a fever......byez peeps!

wow.....So much stuff has happened. You know what really sucks? being sick in Hawaii. I think I have a cold.....or some wretched allergies.....but since I've been taking my medication, I shouldn't be having problems with the pollens in the air, so I'm leaning more towards a cold. But I don't feel sick, that's the funny part, because normally when you're sick, you feel like crap, and you don't want to do anything. I think I'm getting over a not so bad cold. heehee I'm probably going to go to the pool today, because the pool always makes me feel better. And Pavo is going to be there. (He's the kid I'm teaching breaststroke to.) But that's not for another hour, so I have time to update y'all on my life here.

Work at Foodland is going pretty good. This other kid, Julio, started a couple days after Brian and I did, and Saturday this other kid, Daren, started also. Friday was the day that Brian walked out. I guess he was mad or something, but he didn't tell anyone. Dawn suspected that he did, because he had asked her how much notice he should give if he were to quit. (two weeks....isn't it the same everywhere?) anyways so we have one less courtesy clerk, so we are completely swamped, but I love the Air-conditioning :) I had to fill the ice cooler, because the guy who normally does it was really busy, and they always get you off the clock at most 10 minutes after you are scheduled to leave, so he didn't get to do it, but I didn't mind, because I got to go into the ice cooler.....well freezer actually, but you know what I mean. so I go in there with a cart to load the ice bags on(20 lb bags) and you should be able to fit 5 across, and then 4 high. Well I left just enough room in between the first 4 I put on that I didn't have room for the fifth on the end, so I had to rearrange all of them, and my hands were frozen by the time I took all of the ice bags out of the freezer. But it felt so good at the same time, because I had been rouding up carts for the past hour or so, so I was in and out of the store the whole time, and that was harsh on my poor body.

I also might have another job. I might be helping this guy paint. It would be in the morning, so it wouldn't conflict with my job at foodland, and monday is the day I work with Pavo on swimming, so I think we could work around that too. I like keeping busy though, because it helps me keep my mind off other things.....like how brown I'm going to be when I get back. my back is so brown it looks like pine tree bark.....color....sort of.....that was the best color description I could come up with. I guess you could say it's the color of poo, but that's kind of gross ::giggles::

Well, I love all you peeps, and I shall be on tomorrow, because I have to work tonight, and I don't know if I will be back in time after the pool to inform you of anything new on the Hawaii front.....
